This Acceptable Use Policy applies to every business and person using GiftDesk. It forms part of our Terms of Service. Breaking it may lead to suspension or removal of your shop, vouchers or account. Because payments run through Stripe, Stripe's restricted-business rules also apply to you.
You must not use GiftDesk to sell or promote
- Anything illegal, or goods or services you are not licensed or authorised to sell.
- Regulated or age-restricted products sold unlawfully, including drugs and drug paraphernalia, weapons, ammunition or explosives, and prescription or pharmacy-only items.
- Tobacco, vaping or alcohol products where you do not hold the licences required to sell them.
- Adult or sexually explicit services or content.
- Gambling, betting, lotteries or games of chance.
- Financial products, investments, "get rich quick", pyramid or multi-level marketing schemes, cryptocurrency offerings, or debt-collection services.
- Counterfeit goods, or anything that infringes someone else's intellectual property.
- Stolen goods, or anything that facilitates fraud or money laundering.
- Hateful, harassing, violent or discriminatory content.
You must not
- Sell vouchers you do not intend to honour or cannot honour.
- Mislead customers about what a voucher includes, or about its value, validity or terms.
- Use GiftDesk to send spam or unlawful marketing.
- Break, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the platform or to other merchants' data.
- Impersonate another business or person.
Genuine gifting only
GiftDesk is for selling legitimate gift vouchers for your own hospitality business. It is not a tool for laundering funds, moving money, or issuing stored-value instruments unrelated to your own goods and services.
Enforcement
We may review shops and vouchers, and we may suspend or remove anything that breaches this policy or that puts customers, GiftDesk or Stripe at risk, with or without notice. Serious or repeated breaches will result in account termination.
